Hope Unfolds 2026

Hope Unfolds

2026 · 40 × 40 cm

Acrylic, oil, ink & newspaper collage on canvas

Original mixed-media painting

Description

Hope Unfolds is part of my Paper Garden body of work, where fragments of newspaper are transformed into organic forms and imagined flowers.

In this painting, a vivid flower opens against a quiet, almost dreamlike landscape, while smaller newspaper forms seem to move through the space around it.

Newspaper usually carries the noise of everyday life — information, uncertainty and events that quickly replace one another. Here, those fragments are given another possibility. They become something fragile, living and capable of change.

For me, Hope Unfolds is about the moment when something begins to shift. Hope does not always arrive fully formed. Sometimes it appears gradually — unfolding quietly, one small sign at a time.

Created with acrylic, oil, ink and newspaper collage, the work combines delicate paper elements with layered, textured surfaces.

Part of the Dreams collection.
