In the midst of all this, I felt the need to create something that reminds us of a different reality—one filled with hope, growth, resilience, and new beginnings.
This desire became Paperi Garden, a series of mixed-media artworks celebrating the power of nature, optimism, and transformation.
The Story Behind Paperi Garden
Paperi Garden is created using a layered collage technique that combines acrylic paint, oil paint, and recycled newspaper. Each material carries its own meaning, creating artworks that are both visually rich and deeply symbolic.
Newspaper has long been one of humanity's oldest ways of sharing information. In this series, some of the flowers are created from newspaper, representing the endless flow of news and information that shapes our daily lives. While news often highlights uncertainty and challenges, it tells only part of our story.
The flowers painted with vibrant acrylic colors symbolize light, hope, growth, and the possibility of renewal. Soft layers of oil paint add depth, texture, and a timeless quality, inviting the viewer to discover new details every time they look at the artwork.
